Born in a small French Village near Quebec City, Analoga aka Hagiel can easily recall her first childhood memory. Being wrapped up in her mother’s arms while they danced in their living room to whatever song happened to be playing on the radio. She believes this is what sparked her life long love and innate talent for music.  She has spent years as a proud and grateful member of the People’s Gospel Choir of Montreal which has been a transformative experience, providing her with the tools to become a captivating performer and seasoned vocalist. She has been performing professionally since 2009. She is learning a lot from the experience. She has recorded voices with a few other members of the choir on Nadja's Christmas album. In the summer of 2014 she was chosen by Gregory Charles to be a choir singer for Mondial-Loto Quebec for a few shows. With her roots being Caribbean and African it was important to Hagiel to stay true to her roots while also developing a strong identity of her own. She’s combined all her favourite genres, added some French Canadian Flare and started a whole new project of her own. While this a risky and scary move for her, Hagiel feels it is now or never. She has partnered up with award winning songwriter/producer Mark Zubek (Grammy-award Winner Betty Carter, Crash Test Dummies) to finally make her dream a reality. Their songs Turned Around me and Praise your Way Out were in the semi-finals of the International Songwriting competition where there were as judges Coldplay and Tom Waits among others. Turned Around me was also in the semi-finals of the Music in Motion Canada Awards. Hagiel will be releasing first ever album in the very near future. She has plans to make a big impact on the jazz/blues community with her unique vocal style and the positive message embedded in her lyrics.

Hagiel : "I love this quote from the Mademoiselle C movie : "You are the artist of your own life."

"I am concentrating on music because it has always been natural, less harsh as a process. I often sing instinctively. It is a visceral need. I have several mentors in the music industry. I was chosen to do vocals on an inspiring song at the Bell Center for Joey Mcyntyre from the New Kids on the block which has opened my eyes to my first passion and the opportunities that await us when we have a dream. My father has always said that my life is traced to my mother. So not to worry! "
